Faa data may be derived from many sources, fr24 is from ADSB or mlat so it comes down to what aircraft equipment, what receiving equipment and where. fr24 do prefer their own feed over faa though.

Actually my question was different: depending on what an aircraft gets FAA data? Because there aren't any other signals?

Why some aircraft are shown with 5 minutes of delay and others are shown in real time? Obviously I mean aircrafts of the same airline and which are in the same area.
