My guess is you are more than likely using Windows 7 and 32 bit IE8 explorer.

If you read this thread first, you will see your problem is shown in this thread.

Then if you read this thread you will see that this a fairly common problem and its not
easy to fix. There is a fix in this thread, but to me it looks like a lot of work.
You could could copy and paste the fix, it all depends on how much experience you have with software.
If it was me i would try a different browser (Opera works well with FR24)

This is a new fault - I've been using Win 7 with IE8 ever since it came out and been using FR24 since May, all without a problem. But, as I said, 2 weeks ago, it stopped working and its got to do with the sidebar.

We really shouldn't have to mess with our setups. If the js contains an error protocol (easily done) for this error then it would fix things. Its a bit much to ask people to mess with their setups for badly functioning error catchers. And like I said, its a NEW fault. Whatever changed has introduced a bug.

You will have to use a different Browser as this issue only affects IE, its a very tricky to sort out Java problem which is link to Google Maps.

So changing your browser is by far the easiest option.
The fact that it worked 2 weeks ago means something on your PC has changed.

Scanhorse - Like I previously said. I shouldn't have to change MY system for poorly written code or a lazy programmer who cant or wont fix the problem which has been identified.

speedbird1960 - you, like me have identified the problem. Now the programmers need to fix it. ((And your logic is flawed. Just because its broken now, does not mean its my system (which btw, has not been changed in the slightest - no updates nor additions or removals)). It's plainly simple - the code is trying to load an object that is not there - either REMOVE the offending code or add the object - whichever one makes it work will fix the problem!!!

There are other sites which use google maps and they work perfectly well in IE8 (using the same sort of code).

Maybe the code is not perfect, but who ever you ask who knows anything about web programing will tell you that IE sucks when it comes to handling javascripts.
So we have NOT tried to adapt or optimized the code for IE. We will not invest days of work to get it almost working on a crappy browser when there are other free and better alternatives.
At least we are clearly informing that this page is not working with IE and we are recommending other alternatives. But it's up to you to choose your browser.

Just to keep everybody quiet, I loaded Google Chrome and Opera just to see the difference.

And low and behold - It doesn't work there either.

SO there is a FAULT.

I have found out from searching the net, this might sound strange but if you have got SKYPE disable it and restart your browser.
Skype has been found to interfere with Google Maps.

Also to rule out Geo location issue's which Country do you live in.
