Look off the coast of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico in the AM. You will see lots of helicopters with Adsb. Cool stuff.

It's night, the sky is clear and all of a sudden i see a helicopter approaching.
I quickly open flightradar24.com and within a minute there it is!
It was flying very low and straight to the landing area at Schiphol i think. 500 feet MLAT, 150 feet lower than our previous record! Good stuff!
Edit: Ah it landed on a heli fuel station i think.
Playback after it took off again: http://www.flightradar24.com/2014-06...IFELN1/383616cLast edited by Jarod; 2014-06-07, 01:32.

EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Netherlands

Edit:
Ah update, there it is: http://www.flightradar24.com/2014-06...AL6442/384f929
I guess we have some receivers offline in The Netherlands...
Edit2:
Between Rotterdam and Amsterdam low MLAT is working again, so probably fixed.Last edited by Jarod; 2014-06-07, 21:27.

Update the day after, some hosts probably disconnected due to the lightning.
I was asked to never disconnect, however the FR24 turns itself off when i get induction on the cables. This is a nice feature. So this could explain the MLAT coverage decrease for a brief moment as well.
