As for callsign/reg, do you use BDS2,0 as well?
"When VRS reads a callsign from what might be a BDS2,0 message it marks it as "suspect" and puts an asterisk against it on the display. Once a callsign is read from an ADS-B message it throws the BDS2,0 callsign away and only uses the ADS-B one from that point onwards, even if more BSD2,0 messages are received." And access to these towers is highly restricted these days, so it all has to be planned and asked for.
I have tons of locations, but i have no idea how far the people of FR24 want to go.
I am personally very interested in getting MLAT to work for helicopters going from land to the north sea oil rigs and ships. But they fly very low, so any receiver on land should be on very high locations. For example in Ijmuiden, The Netherlands, there are 180 meter high chimneys about 4KM from the sea shore. http://x264.nl/nuonvelsen.jpg
When permission is granted, first testing to get WiFi there is required, but that should be no issues under 30 km line of sight. Options to think of enough, just need to do testing testing and more testing.
