    Why is AI131 / AIC131 going round in circles?

    Hi all...am new to this forum and just had a quick question:

    flight AI131 / AIC131 with reg VT-ALQ from Mumbai to LHR shows it circles over London / Essex numerous times - does anyone know why this happens?

    Every Aircraft that goes into Heathrow goes into a holding stack (Circling.) as part of the queuing system, there are four locations near Heathrow that this happens.
