To use the Zoom. You also need to use the Lat/Lon in the URL string. Just change the Lat/lon for whatever location you need.

If you only want to watch your select airlines. You can put in the airline codes in the URL string.

The simple_index feature is not supported any more as it's against Google Maps API terms of use. We will be blocking this feature in a near future.

          Hello Brian,
Is there any chance to filter single planes using their registration codes (i.e. A6-EPZ)?
Something like &reg=a6-EPZ (already tried it and it doesn't work)?

Not filtering as such, but it does the same as using the search bar. https://www.flightradar24.com/reg/a6-epz will show all historic/current. But the key is the flight number, so won't jump to the active one

Yep - That would take you to the flight list (including current one, if the plane is in flight), not to the map.
Any other idea, or should I rule this function out?
              Thanks!

OK, it seems that FR24 isn't very happy about the usage of their maps on external websites.

The one I was working on is a no-profit site, but it has about a hundred pages containing details of single planes. Each plane had its own map with FR24 logo, and links to their website and apps, showing the position of that single plane, while in flight.

The system worked fine for about a week, then from this morning the map and data turned dark grey, while the same data viewed on a separate browser window does look perfect. From what I can understand, FR24 filtered out the IP of the website I'm working on, so to disallow the viewing of any FR24 map. Probably I hit some limit, but I didn't know there was one.

If there is any admin around, is there any chance to make the maps on that website back to work, considering that everything on that site is done and shared for free, and there is zero budget available?

Thanks for your consideration and understanding.

                  [update]

It does look that any website showing FR24 maps based on simple_index calls is now showing a nice plain dark grey window instead, including (among many others) Edinburgh Airport.

I just hope FR24 representatives may give us some additional clues, namely if they decided to stop this service once and for or if it is just a temporary "pause".

Viewing the FR24 simple_index map via the iframe code FR24 released still showing the Google map with aircraft on it today on iPhone safari.
Check with another browser, if you get any gray screen on any browsers.
                      This one working too. http://sonicgoose.com/flightradar24-view/

This FR24 'simple?' link still works.

                        Unfortunately it does not.

I believe you are still able to see them because you are actually seeing their chached versions. If you refresh those webpages, you will get the same dark grey windows. And that includes all the links you suggested. The situation is the same using either Safari, Chrome, Firefox or changing from Windows PCs to Macs. I have even made tests from people living in different cities and countries.

Right now, everyone is getting those dark grey FR24 maps.

You are right - I couldn't believe it, so I started a new batch of tests.

I discovered that apparently the maps still do work on smartphones only, and that of course includes your iPhone. But when you try to see those FR24 maps on any other device, including tablets (tested on iPad and Samsung Galaxy) and desktop Macs and Windows PCs, all you've got are those nice dark grey maps - see enclosed screenshots taken with Safari on an iMac and Chrome on an iPad.

OK, the struggle is over. It looks that right now everything is back to normal.
Still quite puzzled if it was a temporary glitch of the system, or the warning sign of a forthcoming shutoff.

Please note that the simple_index feature is not supported any more so errors can and will occur.
