Yeah- That's why I just registered. Are there really flights going through that storm? No way they'd get me on that flight!

They are flying ABOVE the storm, just as you can fly above thunderstorms.

Will FlightRadar24 be releasing any more 'Hurricane Sandy' stats ?

???? = unique people visited the site, generating...
                ???? = page views
                ... etc

Just like how this other site did for audio streaming for the Hurricane Sandy event...
Here are some stats from a record breaking day yesterday on RadioReference.com / Broadcastify. We eclipsed our previous record of 47K online listeners with 62K online listeners on 10/29/2012 at about 9:30 PM CST. The previous record was set on New Years Day 2012 at around midnight...

Flightradar24 main focus until 2012 has been Europe, so until 2012 about 90% from the visitors came from Europe.
In 2012 we started to focus on other markets like USA, Australia and Asia. Number of visitors from USA is increasing fast, but from very low levels.
We got a lot more media coverage during European ash cloud, compared to Hurricane Sandy in USA.

                  Visits from country - 23 oct - 30 oct
                  Germany - 43k - 48k
                  UK - 38k - 44k
                  USA - 8k - 37k
                  Poland - 35k - 30k
                  France - 17k - 22k
