Good to see the VMMC1 radar back online. This radar really does help with the Hong Kong aircraft traffic over the sea between Macau and Hong Kong Airport.
Just need somebody in the Zhuhai area to take up my offer regarding 24hr radar feed to Flightradar24.
Hong Kong will hopefully then be well covered over the sea between Macau, Zhuhai and Airport.

Seems we need a radar in Macau or Zhuhai to cover the black-hole ?

I noticed today that the very good Macau VMMC1 radar has not been online.
This Macau VMMC1 radar really does help in regards to tracking Hong Kong Airport traffic over the sea between Macau and Hong Kong Airport.
If their is anybody in the Zhuhai area who is able to provide a 24hr feed to Flightradar24? i am happy to donate my AirNav Radarbox to further enhance Hong Kong airport traffic coverage.

Hong Kong coverage is very good but planes do time out for a short time when they come up from the south before turning right onto finals.
It is this spot where a additional receiver in Zhuhai may be useful?

Donate it to someone in Haikou, Hainan Island.

There is a blank coverage after Macau to Vietnam.

From that location unsure if we need it to improve HK coverage.
My radar actually covers all of HK Airport and 200 km north as I overlook the actual airport. I see planes taking off and landing all day/night from from unit.

F-VMMC1 at Macau now giving coverage to the West and some of the South, together with T-VHHH3 and T-VHHH4. let's hope we can have a good view towards the south in the near future.

The DVB-T USB stick and the antenna are supplied by FR24 and I think the connector is the correct one. BTW, what is "EU"?

EU- European Union.

What i meant at my post is if you buy an antenna and cable, make sure it does fit to your DVB-T stick as they might come in different type of connectors.

Can you suggest a specialised 1090 MHz antenna to work with my DVB-T USB stick to improve the signal strength? Can I buy the Flightradar24 box? Thanks!!

Hi there Mr Kwok,

Welcome to FR24 and it appears that you have just ventured into ADS-B tracking. May I suggest you have a look at a few forums like this http://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=forum
about ADS-B tracking and also this FR24 forum, including the hardware session so you can learn what it is all about. These forums will also include antennas, which will be either you buy one or you make one yourself.

Do make sure you have the right connector to your DVB-T USB stick, which should be a MCX female connector but do check as it might differ.

As for the FR24box, it is available for EU only and at present we only know the price. It is still not available for sell yet. see http://forum.flightradar24.com/threa...rice-yet/page2

Others might give different advice.

All - hi, how is HK Radar now..
I live at Tung Chung and have direct line of sight to the airport with a receiver now in place.. installed about a month ago.

The issue I have based on my location is traffic south and also to the west ..
