So 'm guessing Flight Radar would be looking at the Win 7 Updates for the cause ?

I uninstalled KB2732059 and IE9 works but Chrome and Opera do not (even in XP compatibility mode ). Flight Radar we have a problem. It's something to do with the API embedding Google maps

I have checked and these two updates for Windows 7 -64 bit were added on 27/9 could this be the problem?

I've tested this to make absolutely sure it's not a Chrome issue, and definitely an application issue (API Code).

I did this by looking at the demo's from the API notes on the page

I can move and select on those demo's sop it's definitely a problem with the actual application of the API.

Brilliant! I confirm this. I also have a touch screen but always use a mouse. It has to be a Windows issue then.

Flight Radar please check out this link. https://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-...detail?id=3290 It would seem that your API code is wrong

Yep I stand corrected from my earlier post. Just used y touchscreen and it works. So Windows 7 it is.

Oh, I haven't tried the touchscreen, yet. I restored my system to 26th September this morning, and everything is working fine. After that Windows did a "critical update".

I've just had this message from Flightradar24.com:

"We are looking into it. One explanation might be that a certain
combination of Windows 7 operating system and Google Chrome web
browser makes Google maps think that a user is on a handheld device
                        and certain controls stop working.

Other sites appear to experience the same problem.

There's not yet a confirmation of a bug from either Google or Microsoft."

                        Looks like it's being investigated,
                        Mike

Given that the page at http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/s...-1226486050351 is using flight radar in the story about the missing aircraft in Queensland, the combination of the Windows 7 Update and Chrome doesn't seem to be the issue.

I am using Windows 7 and Chrome, but can use the embedded Flight radar map in that page wit the mouse not a touchscreen. Therefore it must a be an issue with the code on the Flight radar site.

Flightradar24 seems to be working ok again now. Have you changed anything? Marinetraffic is working fine, too, but I still can't use the AA traffic news website http://www.theaa.com/traffic-news/index.jsp , so they probably need to change something, too.

Thanks - now works in Chrome and Firefox on all sites. Does not work in IE9 (unless embedded in Chrome via ie multitab plug in) and Opera. Windows 7 64 bit
