  • Not so much a pseudonym as the company whos currently got hold of it

Southern Cross Aviation do the deliveries/ferries for ANZ. So likely has a couple of pilots from them and an engineer

Keep an eye on it, it could come down our way instead of AKL

      • Two photos of it arriving into Brisbane on the YBBN spotters blog. Livery looks good on it, IMHO it is better then the Virgin Australia livery.

          • ANZ846 Syney to Wellington extreme routing! I haven't seen a deviation like this for some time.

VOZ144 Sydney to Auckland is on the standard track and departed an hour later!

              • Not seeing any significant weather (only thunderstorms up around Brisbane and Grafton) at 11am (9am AEDT), unless there was turbulence reported or forecasted at the time ANZ846 departed.

                • Flightaware posted a departure of 1410 AEST sand srrival time in NZCh 0122 NZEST. It had been scheduled to depart YBBN at 1200AEST. Don't think I shall be watching that late, but nice to know it is on the way to Christchurch.

It's almost like it had to stay within 60 minutes of a runway.

The thought had crossed my mind. But figured if it was the case due to a fault Lorde Howe might be a bit small anyway, and it would likely have gone to AKL asap to sort anything out.

                        • Lord Howe would be too small, but OOL-NLK-AKL works for etops60.
