Aircraft emergency icon

Recently found Flightradar24 and think it's great! Occasionally I see a triangle containing an exclamation mark and text that says "Aircraft Emergency". Can anyone please explain what this is meant to signify, and how can I find more details about it?

Click on it to locate aircraft.

There was one around 8 hours ago from Air France. When they strike an issue onboard they change their transponder code to be 77xx. This makes it appear on the ATC screen as a priority object (much the same as on FR24)

You can then focus on what it does. Be it dump fuel or return to closest/home port.

Thanks Oblivian for that info. When I see the details after clicking on the icon, it does give me the airline and squawk number but I haven't figured out how to locate it
