  • Radar at Hamburg - sometimes on - sometimes not

I wonder why the Radar in Hamburg is sometimes on and sometimes off.
Sometimes NET2 covers Hamburg, but before some time it was EDDH.
maybe the person who own the receiver in hamburg can tell here why...

Not everyone runs their receivers and software 24x7 and sometimes those that do take a holiday.

Sharing data is a voluntary option. No one is obliged to share.

      Thank you for your answer.

I'm living 25miles south from hamburg.
I am missing airplanes BUT...currently we have summer holidays in Hamburg so...its not unlikely that the guy with the radar is out for vacation.

      Best regards
      Your (Planemissing) Bigbohne

I’m living 3 km north east of the airport, direct under the final of runway 23. And arriving aircrafts will disappear near Hamburg.

I am reading here, that the data will come from a private receiver. How can I setup a receiver to make a better service? (I am brand new to this site)

                  Why doesn't it help?

One is a 25 page Guide of my own SBS-1 receiver setup, the other a 15 page comparison of the 4 ModeS receivers available today.

Do you already have a receiver? If so, which one?

Yes, okay, but it is not possible to download it. So I can't see it, and so it does not help. Sorry!

You asked for advice and I offered you the best solution. You chose not to register on Radarspotters (free of charge) to download the documents.

There is nothing to stop you "bring radar data for all people". Your choice not mine.
