  • Mid-Atlantic Sightings

    Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on FR24 despite finding this fantastic site 18 months ago.
I am curious to know how long it has been possible to pick up aircraft over the Mid Atlantic, and which radar is
    used to do this ??
    Many thanks,
    caronia

I don't see any? North or South Atlantic? What radar ID was showing against the aircraft?

    Possibly a spurious data packet?

I can see LH8171 heading east but when I click on the symbol it tries to display data for BAW1 (and fails).
Now the same aircraft is displaying as flight ID GS0000.

I suspect some corrupt data rather than a Mode-S receiver in that location but only the FR24 guys can confirm (or otherwise).
