  • Question by newcomer.

I am new to Flightradar24 so these might seem like a daft questions to some people, but what does it mean when it says General Emergency at the top of the page? What kind of emernency are they encountering? Also what is a squawk?

    Thanks Gustava.

    Hi, welcome to the Forum.

A 7700 (General Emergency code.) can be anything from a medical emergency to something like engine failure.

Here is an article that explains squawk codes in more detail>
