  • Demo of Inserting live planes into Microsoft Flight Simulator

Hope you don't think I'm being cheeky but I hi-jacked your json data to test if it's possible to insert data from your site into flight simulator.

It sort of works, but not perfect.

Anyway, here is a video of what it looks like.

    Interesting idea.

Did you have to do any coding to get the json data in, or do you just put a path to the flightradar24 json data into a dialogue window in FSX?

.. And Do you thunk it might be possible to spot a plane crash with this?

Of course, using the SDK that comes with fsx.

I've now got it loading the correct planes/liveries. Alas the height being transmitted is not consistant so some planes don't land (too high) and some bury themselves into the ground(too low)

Once airbourne it's pretty good though, however, probably not good enoughto take forward commercially. Was fun playing though.

Although not really connected here is a demo of changing the liveries. 871 B737 paints in 80 seconds.

          Code

          Hi Dave

Can you send us some code of your SK project to FSX concerning how to put flightradar24 planes in the FSX?

          Regards,
          Carlos
