    Delayed Alerts

    Hi all,

My Alerts have been delayed by up to an hour, has yours?

I have several ALERTS setup for different aircraft and up until recently, as soon as the aircraft was displayed on the Live Map, I used to get an alert but recently, I can see my chosen aircraft come live on the FR24 Map of its airport but it isn't until the aircraft is 10-30mins into its flight, that I get the notification and sometimes not at all.

My flights are either Flight Numbers or Registrations set to Global.

Is there an issue with the Alerts feature within the iOS app?

    Thanks
    T-EGBB16

Hi! Yes — I just signed up to add that this is happening to me too. Over the last few days my FR24 alerts have been delayed by ~50–60 minutes (or sometimes don’t fire), including both local area + aircraft type alerts and global “flight goes live” alerts. The alert only shows up in Alerts History when the push finally arrives, but it’s timestamped with the correct earlier event time. iOS 26.3 / iPadOS 26.3, FR24 v11.0.0 (Silver).

No need to contact support. We have provided sufficient information. I have been using the app and Contributing Data since 2013. So, I think I have some knowledge that it isn't my setup. So, you can stop the ole game of blaming the customer and their devices, thinking they are clueless. Thanks.

It's been like this for years. It's not a recent thing. 10-30 mins is actually very fast for them. Before I completely gave up with them, the flight would often make it all the way to its destination several hours away or be in the descent and then I'd receive the email alert telling me that the flight has just departed.

I can tell you that nothing will change, except even more stuff will break at the next site update "enhancement" , just like it always does. They only care about the corporate customers paying $10k per month for fleet tracking and analysis.

That is interesting to know regarding the delayed Alerts by Email. I don't subscribe to those, I only request the Alerts from their app directly and like 13Silvery said above, it has only been in the last few days that the Alerts are delayed up to an hour through the app. As prior to that they were instant, as soon as the Aircraft's Ident was switched on by the Captain/Pilot

I know GOLD get up to 25 Alerts and I assume being a Contributor (Feeder) I would get the same but I only have 12 Alerts consisting of Global Flights and Reg's.

I only wish that they would STOP belittling us trying to say that it is OUR setup and we are clueless and contact "support", providing this and that. I think after building my own Pi3, pre-amp and adding my own Unix codes and then Feeding Data to FR24 and having the app for 13 years, I think I know how to set up an Alert.

And like you say, the more they add, the worse it will become.

                Thank you Julia,

I thought something had been done, as my Alerts have returned back to instant notifications through the app and no longer any delays.

                UPDATED Reply:

Not sure how but "Alerts" for Aircraft REG's are perfect with no delay. However, "Alerts" for Aircraft FLIGHT Numbers, there is still a significant delay. Not sure about other Alert types, as I only use REG and FLIGHT in the iOS app.

                Update 2: Feb 19th 2320hrs GMT.

I can confirm now that the fix for the Alerts for both REG and FLIGHTS are working perfectly now in my iOS apps.
                Issue Resolved.

                Thanks
