I hadn't used my desktop at home in a while. But golly. Even the work laptop (a year old i5 series) CPU starts to spike a bit and less smooth on it.

To get the above - more tools - task manager

Fun to do before and after opening a FR24 tab

Above from my old trusty. Pegs CPU to 98+% 63C per core (nearly double). Sure it's old. But holy cow. For the sake of some sprite updates when it seemed usable pre code change
320Mb additional GPU 'footprint' (110Mb direct GPU RAM increase) and 300% CPU on the GPU process when that single tab opens.

My first experience was at work. And I could see where people were coming from to a degree. But this was the first check at home. Hardware requirements up there with MS writing off billions in e-waste in October if you don't have something with TPM2 for W11

Yep. It's been like this since the airport pin rework about a year ago. They asked the beta testers to report any problems. These problems were reported to them at the time. They were aware that it was awful and had zero optimisation, meaning the CPU. RAM and temps were off the end of the dial but they released it to the public anyway with no changes done, and here we are.
