I was suffering the crash on launching the app so reistalled. Since then I cannot get sounds on alerts. Things still working fine on my iPad (no reinstall needed).
Banner alerts are working fine and sound is definitely on (if I switch sounds in notifications they play).

Have tried deleting app, restarting phone, reinstalling app etc. No joy.
