  • US/Canada radar data provider

US/Canada Radar (Live): Official US/Canada radar data covering North America and certain oceanic regions around North America.

Who is the data provider for US/Canada Radar (Live) and what product/service does Flightradar24 use to get them? Is it FAA's ASDI data. I see Team FR24 wrote "To get access to FAA ASDI data you need to apply directly to FAA. There are quite big technical requirements and the process takes 6-18 months to get approved." at forum.flightradar24.com/forum/radar-forums/flightradar24-web-page-and-apps/6256-the-faa-database#post37914 .

Is Flightradar24 a Class Two User?
The linked Memorandum of Agreement for Industry Access to Aircraft Situation Display and National Airspace System Status Information Data at www.fly.faa.gov/ASDI/asdi.html#subscriberInfo says
"A Class Two User is any user not meeting the criteria of a Class One User (e.g., most general aviation; non-aviation-related entities and individuals; any other entity without a specific requirement for near real time positional flight-tracking). Class Two Users can obtain Class Two (time-delayed data) either directly from the FAA Traffic Flow Management System Hubsite Class Two ASDI/NASSI interface or from Direct Subscribers that provide time-delayed Class Two data."
Can't find Flightradar24 in the linked ASDI Active Subscribers and Contacts at www.fly.faa.gov/ASDI/asdi.html#subscriberInfo .

Is it the thing with the red line around it?

    cdm.fly.faa.gov/?page_id=2287#tell-me-more-about-this-tfmdata-service says
"The Flight Data service provides near real-time air traffic data. It is designed to provide the same base data as the legacy ASDI (Aircraft Situation Display to Industry) feed, but is enhanced with additional data related to flights being managed by TFMS.

    Flight Data includes:
    • Flight Plans
    • Flight Plan Amendments
    • Flight Plan Cancellation
    • Departure Time notifications
    • Arrival Time notifications
    • Track Position Reports
    • Oceanic Position Reports
    • Boundary Crossings
    • Flight Management Information
    • and more….
    "

    Why do you ask?

Since the FR24 management team rarely visits this forum, maybe you need to contact FR24 directly. Whether it will provide an answer, which it may deem to be commercially sensitive, is another matter.
