  • Unknown Label Appearing

    Hi All,

The last days I see more and more a/c on the screen appear labeled with (example)

    Unknown
    B738 EI-EMA

When clicking on this the message "no callsign" appear. That should be impossible I think..... A civilflight without a callsign or flightnumber. Verry strange.

This come with all companies like DLH, BAW, RYR, EZY etc.
Is this new? Does it have something to do with the new timetable?

Thank you for reaction(s) in advance.

    Kind Regards,

    Hans

    Screenshot?

Your description does not tell us what field is unknown. If it is the route, then yes it will be the change in seasonal callsigns

That particular one does not appear to be sending its callsign to match the expected routes. And it doesn't appear to be the firs time

That does appear to be where the route would show compared to the others.

That's because the crew haven't input their callsign into the FMC. Nothing to do with FR24.

Correct. Also, airlines generally use different callsigns for out and back sectors over the same route. Occasionally the crew will omit to change the callsign for the return flight so FR24, quite correctly, combines both flights into a single track.

"No callsign" means that the transponder is not transmitting a callsign and not that the flight is missing a callsign. Some information about missing callsigns is available on https://fr24.com/how-it-works
