  • Raspburry PI is my system feeding

OK just set up a Raspberry PI , how do I know if it is working and feeding?

I tried "sudo service fr24feed status"

    And got:

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo service fr24feed status
    ● fr24feed.service - LSB: Flightradar24 Decoder & Feeder
    Loaded: loaded (/etc/init.d/fr24feed)
Active: active (running) since Tue 2016-04-19 16:17:27 UTC; 2h 15min ago
    Process: 486 ExecStart=/etc/init.d/fr24feed start (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
    CGroup: /system.slice/fr24feed.service
    ├─516 /usr/bin/fr24feed -- --monitor-file=/dev/shm/fr24feed.txt --write-pid=/var/run/fr24feed.pid --quiet --log-base=/var/log/fr24feed --log-rotate=1
    └─659 /usr/lib/fr24/dump1090 --raw

      Hi,

I too am getting the same when I use "sudo service fr24feed status"

Could you please explain what you mean by "web config page" as nothing opens up when I'm running my Raspberry Pi, which is connected directly into my home network?

      Many thanks,

      Mick

        In your browser type: 192.168.1.130:8754/index.html

where 192.168.1.130 should be changed to IP of your Rpi

Thanks for your reply. I have tried what you suggest but cannot get any page to open. The tab stays empty with the busy icon constantly rotating.

Could I please ask what the "8754" is? If this is the port number, do you know how I check mine to make sure the Pi is actually on this port?

          Many thanks,

          Mick

It's not like different people will get it on different ports. It will be the same for everyone <ip of your PI>:8754

You can also check the log file to see what's going on. /var/log/fr24feed.log

Many thanks. I now have a working Pi that is sending data to FR24 and I can see my browser index and setting page.

              Regards,

              Mick

Yes, I did not get that either, used the forum search engine and Google without any success.

OK on the port 8754, got something but seems it is not decoding:
                Flightradar24 Feeder/Decoder

I am running the original RPi Mk1 with 2 usb ports and H/W EtherNet, when I run on the HDMI o/p I get no graphics just SHH script.

Still at a loss, The antenna should be fine as was running Radarbox and tracking up to 200 planes at anyone time.
