I was away from the system for a while. I came back and discovered that it's feeding. However, skyaware isn't working. Does it use lighttpd? I ask because it's not working.

      Here is the status:

      Code:
      $ sudo systemctl status lighttpd
       lighttpd.service - Lighttpd Daemon
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/lighttpd.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
      Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Sat 2024-02-17 10:30:59 PST; 4h 59min ago
      Process: 876 ExecStartPre=/usr/sbin/lighttpd -tt -f /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf (code=exited, status=255/EXCEPTION)

Feb 17 10:30:59 kaveri systemd[1]: lighttpd.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 5.
Feb 17 10:30:59 kaveri systemd[1]: Stopped Lighttpd Daemon.
Feb 17 10:30:59 kaveri systemd[1]: lighttpd.service: Start request repeated too quickly.
      Feb 17 10:30:59 kaveri systemd[1]: lighttpd.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Feb 17 10:30:59 kaveri systemd[1]: Failed to start Lighttpd Daemon.
      This could be the problem:

      Code:
      $ cat /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf
cat: /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf: No such file or directory
Looking at the output from the installation, lighttpd seemed install, but apparently not properly.

Fix is purging and then reinstalling everything, but first of all you must STOP fr24feed. If you do not stop fr24feed, then the moment it finds that dump1090-fa is purged, it will install dump1090-mutability

        STEP-1: VERY IMPORTANT: Stop fr24feed

        Code:
        sudo systemctl stop fr24feed

STEP-2: Purge both types of dumps1090
        Code:

        sudo apt purge dump1090-mutability

        sudo apt purge dump1090-fa

STEP-3: Purge lighttpd and delete it's config folder
        Code:
        sudo apt purge lighttpd

        sudo rm -rf /etc/lighttpd

STEP-4: install dump1090-fa by the method you have used previously. This will automatically install fresh copy of lighttpd as it's dependency.

STEP-5: Reboot RPi to restart fr24feed, dump1090-fa, and lighttpd
        Code:
        sudo reboot

STEP-6: After reboot check status of dump1090-fa, fr24feed
        Code:
        sudo systemctl status dump1090-fa

        sudo fr24feed-status

        STEP-7: Check skyaware map
In browser of computer running dump1090-fa:

        localhost/skyaware/

Thank you very much! I thought I stopped fr24feed, but I must not have, because there were remnants of dump1090-mutability left in various places. Even after purging, there were remaining files, so I uninstalled the distro and reinstalled it. Using WSL, it's very easy.

I reinstalled everything using the instructions in https://github.com/abcd567a/fr24feed...ster/README.md.

I noticed a couple of minor typos:

          (2) CONFIGURING OF dump1090-mutability

          Method 1
          sudo dpkg-reconfigure dump1090-mutability

          Method 2
          sudo nano etc/default/dump1090-mutability ## MISSING / ##
          sudo nano /usr/share/dump1090-mutability/html/config.js

          (3) CONFIGURING OF dump1090-fa
          sudo nano etc/default/dump1090-fa ## MISSING / ##
          sudo nano /usr/share/skyaware/html/config.js

Thank you for pointing out the typos. I have now corrected it.
