I recently purchased a rtl-sdr v3 dongle from the official blog webpage (amazon) and now I have it installed on my ADS-B setup, working with a Raspberry 2, with Dump1090-Mutability and an Adsbexchange 5.5 dbi antenna, It works perfectly fine for about 4-5 hours, then it suddenly stop tracking planes, it always happens after 4-5 hours, the log on Dump1090-Mutability app shows:
-03 No data received from the dongle for a long time, it may have wedged
I have scheduled a RaspPi2 reboot every 3 hours and now everything is fine, never stops tracking, the reboot fixed the issue, but want to know if you have more information about this? is it something that happens to the dongle? is it some kind of incompatibility with RaspPi2 may be?
Power supply is ok since I am using a 5v, 2.5 amp on my RaspPi2 with this dongle only, connected directly to one USB port on the RasPi2 and nothing else.
Any help or guidance you can provide on how to fix this?
