  • Running fr24feed on older linux kernel (3.0.8)

Since I have been able to run fr24feed by repurposing some old hardware, from PogoPlug Mobile to TVPad4, I am happy with the results (and saving some perfectly good electronics from landfills)

My current challenge is trying to run fr24feed on another device, to which I have successfully gained root access and able to install most of the binaries needed, with the exception of being unable to update the kernel.

    running fr24feed was greeted with
    Code:
    FATAL: kernel too old
    Aborted
    file fr24feed shows
    Code:
    ...for GNU/Linux 3.2.0...
    and uname -r shows
    Code:
    3.0.8
I guess the chances of repurposing this piece of hardware to run fr24feed are very slim, unless someone from FR24 is willing to compile a binary for older kernel (or send me an older version that works with pre 3.2 linux kernel)

BTW, dump1090 (not fa or mutability) and view1090 seem to be running ok. In theory, I could run fr24feed on another box but that kinda defeats the idea of having everything self-contained.
