  • [FAIL] Receiver: down... faild!

    Hello,

My status on data sharing is online but it seems that my raspberry doesn't recognize the ADS-B USB dongle and when I run fr24feed-status on PuTTY I get the below output:

    PוTTY output.jpg

I tried all 4 USB ports on my raspberry and restarted it few times, but still nothing.
When I connected the dongle to my laptop it's recognized, but the raspberry doesn't.

If someone has seen such an issue before and has an idea on how to fix it - bless him!

    Thanks in advance!

You should tell what OS image and software you have installed on RPi.

Please give following commands, and post output of the last command

    Code:
    sudo apt install rtl-sdr

    sudo systemctl stop fr24feed dump1090-mutability dump1090-fa

    rtl_test -t

      Thanks for your reply.
I understand almost nothing about this device and just followed the instructions of FR24

        There's the issue

        Wrong tuner.
FC0012 is not capable of ADSB.

Supplemental to information found at https://www.flightradar24.com/build-your-own (spurred from user finding stick information not so forthcomming) If you do not chose to purchase a marketed 'ADSB stick' or USB TV Tuner via the suggested link there are specific requirements to be made aware of before purchasing generic sticks

As Oblivian has already said, wrong tuner chip Fitipower FC0012.

Get a dongle with 820T or 820T2 tuner chip.

Well, it's been a while and I have finally purchased another dongel which is supposed to have 820T2 tuner chip.
              But still not working.
              Will appreciate any help here.
              Thanks a lot!

                Well it's not a R820T2 tuner, it's a R828D tuner.

I have no clue about the R828D and if it works for 1090 MHz.

It would help getting some graphs from graphs1090 and log output from readsb: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wi...ADS-B-receiver
The fr24feed status output is very limited.
So ... if you want to poke around some, get readsb / graphs1090 from the link above and then get the log for readsb as it's described on the install page for readsb linked in the guide.

I couldn't find anything definite either. Other than same frequency range on paper. But has 3 input filters to clear up actual tv frequencies. Which may have detrimental impact.

                    Thanks guys!
It will be more easy for me to purchase a new dongle but this time to make sure it's the right one.
I would appreciate if you can recommend about a specific one.
