  • Feeder seems online but FR24 not receiving

    Hi

Since a few days I have a problem witch I can not seem to resolve
    I'm running a Rpi with a DVBTstick
when running "sudo fr24feeder-status" the result look OK accept for:
    Receiver: down ...failed
    FR24 MLAT: Not running....failed

The "receiver": is this the DVBT-stick?

It seems to be working because my DUMP1090 gmap shows more results then ever before....or is this a wrong assumption?

I do not know where to search...
Did reboot the Rpi and even shut it down completely and restarted.

    Any help greatley appreciated...thank you.

1 Did you ever install dump1090-fa / flightaware (So your type would be wrong)
(It would also conflict with turning all your 3 outputs on)

2 Remove port settings. Invalid for DVBT type.

3 Need more than 3 contacts + non adsb to turn on mlat

    https://forum.flightradar24.com/node/89018 - common errors

Run weidhopf script. It will fix things.

The host is likely ignored when you set DVB-T?
      Not sure.

Anyhow i'd recommend following this guide to set up a receiver: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wi...ADS-B-receiver
No need to reinstall fr24, the automatic install for readsb will just reconfigure it so it should work correctly.

        *should* be.
But seen some whacked config settings leading to scratching head as to why it tries passing all fields during connection (com field springs to mind)

Looked at some history posts he made mention of vrs daisy chain from fr24 with those port details (later corrected to 30005) so could be legacy. But seems odd for map to populate if broke enough to not connect to receiver.

Hopefully no help needed with 978. Doesn't get used much outside the US/eu?. But I bet lots still install it.

You're on a jessie image and i don't test that anymore. (it's very old)
Anyhow thanks for reporting the error, that problem should be fixed.

Just try the same command again and let me know if it works.

Yeah you have quite an old base system, starting new is what i'd recommend.

Which base system is that, now i'm curious
                This command will tell you:
                cat /etc/os-release

Started all over with the sites of wiedehopf.

But getting errors like added logile shows
Did put the RPi Lite on a SD-card and managed to get ssh access.
Then run the automatic installation script

when trying to see the tar1090 it says:

Problem fetching data from the server:
Seems the decoder / receiver / backend isn't working correctly!

And I don't know where to look now....is it the DVB-T-stick that is not working? Do i have to configure that stick somewehre?

                  (Feel like such a NOOB)

                  Edit again:

Replugged the stick and rebooted de PI.... now it seems to work the tar1090

Could you tell me what you changed compared to the log above?

And also give me the output for this command:
                      cat /etc/os-release

                        Uhmmm

I disconnected the dvbp-t stick and reconnected...and after that I unplugged the RPi gfrom the wall-outlet
                        and plugged that one too

                        and the command gave this:

Ah ... it seems it might need a udev rules reload. and usb replug ... interesting.

                          I'll see about adding that.
                          Thank you for the details.
