    Depends on the page that says that it's 8.5 dBi and how honest that is.

    It's gain and you want more for an antenna. But as above ... sellers like to claim lots of stuff so if you're looking at some random offering .... it's likely just bs.

        I think he was referring to the fact that my part of the world seems to be devoid of traffic when it usually looks like a motorway up there.
