  • Online but no data uploaded

    Hi all together here,

    I recently set up my PI24 station, but it doesnt upload data.
    Itīs a Raspberry Pi 3b with an Andoer DVB-Stick type Me-UK-32433045339-TBE-TV Stick with a shortened standard-Antenna..

    I often see in the Status Browser Window tracked Aircrafts, but none of them is Uploaded.
    The connection and everything seems fine, all Systems are on OK Status.
    The last days there was not really much air traffic in my area but it tracks Airplanes from time to time, just doesnt upload them.

    The fr24-status:

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ fr24feed-status
    [ ok ] FR24 Feeder/Decoder Process: running.
    [ ok ] FR24 Stats Timestamp: 2020-07-03 07:40:43.
    [ ok ] FR24 Link: connected [UDP].
    [ ok ] FR24 Radar: xxxxx.
    [ ok ] FR24 Tracked AC: 0.
    [ ok ] Receiver: connected (5 MSGS/0 SYNC).
    [ ok ] FR24 MLAT: ok [UDP].
    [ ok ] FR24 MLAT AC seen: 0.

    The Webpage Info:
    FR24 Link: Connected via UDP
    FR24 Radar Code: xxxx
    Local IP(s): 192.168.178.77
    Aircraft Tracked:
    (ModeS & ADS-B)
    0
    Aircraft Uploaded: 0
    Receiver: dvbt, Connected
    MLAT running: YES
    I know right now there is nothing to track, but a few minutes ago Tracked showed 3..

    Can you help me?

    Thanks & Best regards

    edit:

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cat /etc/fr24feed.ini
    receiver="dvbt"
    fr24key="xxxx"
    path="/usr/lib/fr24/dump1090"
    bs="no"
    raw="no"
    logmode="1"

    Likely wrong tuner or an issue with the antenna / coax:

    Check which tuner you have:
    https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wi...l-sdr-receiver

    If it says FC0012 or FC0013, then you have the wrong tuner and need a different DVB-T stick.

      Hi wiedehopf,

      Thank you for your answer.
      for me it seems like the stick has Both, FC0012 and RTL2838.
      But it shows i have problems with the Power Supply.
      I will post the log-Text here, maybe you see more than i see:

      -----
      Lost samples in the first 2 seconds after starting the test are common and not a problem!
      Starting 30 second rtl_test, standby!
      -----
      Found 1 device(s):
      0: Realtek, RTL2838UHIDIR, SN: 00000001

      Using device 0: Generic RTL2832U OEM
      Found Fitipower FC0012 tuner
      Supported gain values (5): -9.9 -4.0 7.1 17.9 19.2
      Sampling at 2400000 S/s.

      Info: This tool will continuously read from the device, and report if
      samples get lost. If you observe no further output, everything is fine.

      Reading samples in async mode...
      Allocating 15 zero-copy buffers
      lost at least 16 bytes
      Signal caught, exiting!

      User cancel, exiting...
      Samples per million lost (minimum): 0
      -------
      Test finished!
      More than 2 lost samples per million or other errors probably mean the receiver isn't working correctly.
      Try another power supply before condemning the receiver though!

      Your power supply is not adequate, consider the Official Raspberry Pi power supply.
      Any constant voltage supply with 5.1 to 5.2 Volts and 2.5A capability is also a good choice.
      Inadequate power supplies can lead to many different problems!

      Is it reall only the ps?

      Thanky for your Help

        Theres your issue

        Found Fitipower FC0012 tuner

        Going by many pages when searching that model. They have falsely advertised it as a Rafael 802T tuner when it is not

            https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wi...-shopping-list

            The title of the offering is often not related to the item shipped, thus you can't tell anything from what you posted.

            If it's genuine Nooelec, then it will work.
            So it comes down to trusting the shop you buy it from.

              Hi,
              I have the same issue and ordered a different stick.
              But I do not understand why I get "1 aircraft tracked", if the stick has the wrong chip(s) installed.

              Best regards

                Wrong chip has bad hearing, correct chip has good hearing.
