  • MLAT sync

Hi, I am wondering where I can find how many mlat receivers I am sync’d with, on FlightAware I’m sync’d with 221 other receivers but I cannot find a similar number anywhere on the FR24 statuses, is it reported anywhere?

    thanks, Mike.

You don't sync with any feeders

Everyone's data is sent to the server. And that does the work. There is no peer to peer connections like what the mlat client on the other feeders do

Well, that's what we are lead to believe anyway.

But somehow it can tell client feeders to not upload certain aircraft (log shows ignoring uploaded vs received) to stop too much data overloading server when lots of people have contact with the same aircraft)

Pi are only used as a 2nd reference and FR24 own feeders do the majority of the work. Even if there was 8 pi feeders in perfect triagnulation if theres no FR24 box it doesn't seem to be able to

mlat-client doesn't do peer to peer either.
The sync happens on the server.
