  • Online but 'Receiver: down'

    Hi All, I've been spending some downtime trying to bring online my fr24feed via Ubuntu since the Windows support has stopped. I've not previously had a chance until now to look at this.
    I've had a great deal of difficulty (not being a good with linux) getting this setup and I think i've finally had some luck with getting my radar online by it's showing my receiver as down. Obviously its a bit hard to know whether my radar is screwy or I simply cannot pick up any flights due to quiet period we now find ourselves in.

    For clarification (below) does the 'Receiver: down' actually mean my radar isn't feeding data to fr24 ?

    * FR24 Feeder/Decoder Process: running
    * FR24 Stats Timestamp: 2020-04-11 03:19:58
    * FR24 Link: connected [UDP]
    * FR24 Radar: T-YBBN264
    * FR24 Tracked AC:
    * Receiver: down
    * FR24 MLAT: not running

    Here's one of mine - showing no aircraft - so your issue is more than just the current 'quiet period' ...

    [ ok ] FR24 Feeder/Decoder Process: running.
    [ ok ] FR24 Stats Timestamp: 2020-04-11 06:24:20.
    [ ok ] FR24 Link: connected [UDP].
    [ ok ] FR24 Radar: T-Yxxx1.
    [ ok ] FR24 Tracked AC: 0.
    [ ok ] Receiver: connected (0 MSGS/0 SYNC).
    [ ok ] FR24 MLAT: ok [UDP].
    [ ok ] FR24 MLAT AC seen: 0.

    I'll let the other wise ones debug your issue - but what dump1090 version did you install ?

      Receiver down = not communicating to receiver/set wrong
      Which then triggers no MLAT ability

        Try this, it should fix your configuration and should work on Ubuntu:
