  • how far the antenna from the Raspberry Pi ?

    Hi.

I like to install my antenna on the roof.
from the RPi to the antenna, i need a 10m coax cable.
which cable should i use, and what extra hardware i need to keep getting a good signal ?
my gear is RPi w/ usb dongle, and 3m cable with a spider antenna.

quad shield RG6 can work, but i would recommend a filtered LNA for 10m of coax.

Without an LNA, i'd recommend getting LMR400 or LMR240 coax and a higher gain antenna like the FA antenna.
    But that's kinda expensive.

Good quality RG6 and the rtl-sdr 1090 mhz filtered LNA placed within 2m of the antenna (the closer the better), is probably the best solution in relation to the cost.
