    The status you posted actually indicates it's working normally.

    You can put a 7 cm / 2.75 in long piece of wire into the SMA connector, that's enough of an antenna.
    Orienting the stick vertical is beneficial when doing this.
    This was the problem, thanks

    Hmmmm ok, I thought the antenna would only improve range since it lists it as optional in the required equipment.

    I'll give it a try after work. Cheers

    At the moment it's just by the window in my office, no antenna installed. I do plan on moving to a better location once it's working. I'm less than 10km from an international airport so I think I would of picked up a plane if it was working.

    For the case it's a software issue, I'd recommend this script, it fixes most setups: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-sc...for-dump1090fa

    If that doesn't fix it, you can test if the Pro stick is working correctly: https://github.com/wiedehopf/adsb-wi...l-sdr-receiver
    (or check the dump1090-fa log)

    Could well be that you just have a very bad antenna setup or an issue like that.
    But with the above, it's still easier to check the logs and stuff.

    started a topic PI24 and Flightaware pro stick = 0 planes

    PI24 and Flightaware pro stick = 0 planes

    I have just set up PI24 with a flightaware pro stick. So far I've manged to get the software up and running but I am not receiving any planes. I can't change any settings on the settings page because of an apparent bug. I did find another post that suggested using sudo nano /etc/fr24feed.ini

    receiver="beast-tcp"
    host="127.0.0.1:30005"
    fr24key=mykey
    bs=no
    raw=no
    mlat="yes"
    mlat-without-gps="yes"

    but i still get aircraft tracked = 0

    going to myip/dump1090 doesnt show any planes tracked either. Can anyone help with getting it up and running?
Working...
