same here. Since a few days the FR24 local status page does not allow to save any changes made. It returns back to the status screen, but with the old values.

Only solution is editing the config file manually.

The Save button on IP:8754/settings.html works OK on Latest Pi24 image (pi24-2.1.0.img).
    It has:
    Raspbian: Stretch
    fr24feed: ver 1.0.23.8

    Code:
    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cat /etc/os-release
    PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)"

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ apt-cache policy
    fr24feed fr24feed:
    Installed: 1.0.23-8
    Candidate: 1.0.23-8

Upgraded fr24feed to ver 1.0.24-7 by following commands, and the Save button on IP:8754/settings.html stopped working.

    Code:
    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo apt update

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo apt install fr24feed

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ apt-cache policy fr24feed
    fr24feed:
      Installed: 1.0.24-7
      Candidate: 1.0.24-7

    pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cat /etc/os-release
    PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)"

No need to mention buster specifically - it does it on Stretch too. (Sure Pi24 isn't still 24-6 or earlier?)

I just forced an upgrade on my scripted stretch (was 24-4 as I held back auto update) and has introduced the same.

    Notable messages during:

Errors during useradd: user 'fr24' already exists
sed: can't read /etc/cron.d/fr24feed_updater: No such file or directory (probably because I nuked it)

Two days ago I have tested fr24feed ver 24-7 on Raspbian Buster. It does not save any setting. The problem is not just the process arguments (--gain --net etc). All settings including enable/disable log, or change fr24key or receiver type, or host/port fail to save.

I then burned Pi24 image which is Stretch, and all settings can be saved from IP:8754/settings.html.

I therefore recommend to use Pi24 image instead of (Raspbian Buster image + fr24feed by bash script)

    You're onto something there.

24-7 released. No changelog update since 24-6 in Nov

It seems that saving any settings from that page doesn't work with the current version of the fr24 feed software.
You seem to be the 2nd person in a short time that can't change the settings.

I'd recommend you to edit the settings manually:

    sudo nano /etc/fr24feed.ini

Otherwise i can recommend replacing the original dump1090 version with dump1090-fa and an interface that looks like the old one if you fancy that:

1 What is your 'feeder type' setting
2 What version is the OS
    cat /etc/os-release

The answer to these, denotes if the file has gone write only mode.

Or if it is actually being ignored and you need to control it from dump1090 directly

    Cannot change gain settings

    Hi,

Running on Raspberry Pi 3 with the software

    Linux/generic/static_armel/1.0.24-7

I just noticed that I cannot change the gain settings anymore when I press the save option
    Process arguments: --gain 32.8 [Extra arguments for dump1090, ex --net-http-port 8080 ]
    Any information?

    Thanks
Working...
