24-6 has been released (at least on arm) to fix it.

And, ARCH is missing the stuff debian has to let it even start

Funniest thing is that the amd64 .deb package intallation has an install_dump1090.sh file which installs the dump1090-mutability ver 1.14 for armhf (i.e for RPi)

Scroll right to see full code, the armhf is at extreme right
        Code:
        wget https://github.com/mutability/mutability-repo/releases/download/v0.1.0/mutability-repo_0.1.0_armhf.deb
        sudo dpkg -i mutability-repo_0.1.0_armhf.deb

I expect with the sudden increase recently with x64 Demand it's been straight ported without considering such things

Better to just release the binary in this case. (as it was)

Though it is not very difficult, but not every one knows how to create service and init files for a binary.

The .deb package does this automatically, making installing it very easy for even a novice

Bit weird that it would not work on Arch. I use Alpine which is about 50x smaller. But you are right... I installed Arch in Docker and got the same. Debugging from there gave that without MLAT enabled in the config it works. Can you confirm?

Installed binary "fr24feed_1.0.24-5_amd64.tgz" on Debuian 10 amd64 using bash script which generates systemd service and fr24feed.ini

In addition installed dump1090-mutability EB_VERSION (script below does NOT install it)

                  Code:
                  sudo bash -c "$(wget -O - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/abcd567a/fr24feed-debian-ubuntu-amd64/master/install-fr24feed_1.0.24-5_amd64.tgz.sh)"

it still just segfaults for me, regardless of the mlat setting.

Maybe you need one of those. (Nano, tar and wget I installed in order to get fr24feed.)

Did you realize Debian and Arch are not the same?
He could try that but I would be very surprised if it would work.

I got the software installed in UBUNTU but for some reason is not seeing any planes.

                          sorin@Ubuntu-Latitude-E6420:~$ sudo systemctl status fr24feed

                            (1) It does not work unless you say no to mlat.

                            sudo nano /etc/fr24feed.ini

                            Change line mlat="yes" to mlat="no"

                            (2) What the logs say?

                            cat /var/log/fr24feed/fr24feed.log

                            .

I have stopped it, so the logs are gone.

I am still using my Pi3 for this, since it has MLAT active. I was hoping that I can use it for other things...
Does FR24 care for MLAT anyway? I mean do we have extra incentives to provide that?

                                (1) They do care for mlat, but user can enable/disable mlat.
                                (2) There is no extra incentive to user. They dont feedback mlat results to the user.
