You see it gets an empty file, so it complains about that.

If it gets no file, it doesn't complain.

If you want to reduce the amount of writes, there is a section on that: https://github.com/wiedehopf/graphs1090#graphs1090

The database will be around 20 MB i think.
    You can check like this:
    du -sh /var/lib/collectd/rrd/localhost

The size should be static, it doesn't grow.

For me it doesn't complain that loudly if the 978 URL is set and nothing is there.
Are you running pihole on the same pi by chance?
Most people don't check the logs anyway
Yes iím running a Pi Hole! 😅

    Everything working?
You can try putting an # in front of the line with URL_978 in the /etc/collectd/collectd.conf and see if that helps.
    Decommenting the 978 URL worked!

Maybe someone else is having the same issue, who knows... you should put it in your official guide.
Anyway it's a real useful software.

What about the writing data? Any issue with the SD card wearing? Will they occupy a large amount?
    Cheers and thanks again!

    P.S.
I have a GitHub repository that includes some kind of METAR web UI. Take a look here:

    Hi!
I uninstalled the software and deleted everything.
Than i had a problem reinstalling it but removing manually "collectd"(purge) did the trick.
Than i changed dump1090-fa with dump1090 in the conf file.
    Everything is working great now!
There is only one problem with the log:

You can try deleting the database files in this folder:

    /var/lib/collectd/rrd/localhost

Delete everything but dump1090-localhost (ADS-B data).

Did you have the receiver project graphs installed before?
Not sure where "could not decode JSON" comes from but it shouldn't have anythign to do with system graphs rather ADS-B graphs.

Do a reboot, wait a minute and show me the log again please.

Oh maybe the system time is set wrong?
    What's the output for:
    date -u
Date is ok, date-u shows the UTC hour.
It worked in the beginning but after a while it stopped and never worked again.
It's been running for about two weeks.
What i really need are ADSB data so for now this stats are enough for me.
I'll reboot and let you know!

    Yes system stats are empty.
Raspberry Pi 3B+ and Raspbian Buster.
ADSB data are working great tho!

This is my log, stats for the system are not working.

    Hi Guys!
I also installed the Graphs1090 and it looks pretty cool!
Anyway i also noticed the different plot in the signal section:dump1090-localhost-signal-24h.png

I guess my noise floor is pretty high!
My weakest signal is only -19.7!

Your graph looks like your gain is low.

Most likely you have better results at 1% to 5% Messages > -3dB
    That's in the first graph.

I found the noise readout from dump1090 to be not very meaningful, so i'm not plotting it.

The weakest signal is a measure for noise in some ways, because the noise determines how faint a signal you can receive.
Due to compression effects for stronger signals and those strong signals still being able to be decoded, you'll be hard pressed to optimize for SNR using my graphs or the old version.

Well, you're right, the lowest signal is more or less the noise level but I think that the true intrinsic noise figure will show up only without the antenna connected. Actually I'm working with 40.2dB gain with very good results (280nm average) and I' m playing in the range 38-46 dB.
