The airplane information shown on FR24 is not transmitted by the airplane. The information comes from a database - Lookup associated to the unique Hex/ModeS code that is transmitted by the airplane.
Every day there are new deliveries and old aircraft getting new owners, so new information has to be modified daily.
Help us in updating the database by using the online amend detail function. This will queue the changes for FR24 staff moderation
Following details will be requested:
ModeS/Hex-code - always needed
Registration
ICAO Type code - sets the icon
Type - Model description
MSN
Airline / Owner - no individuals, trustees or leasing companies - "Private" for GA, individuals, without IATA code assigned
Paint code (ICAO) - should reflect the livery of the aircraft - ICAO code only, not IATA code or name
Operator code (ICAO) - ICAO code only, not IATA code or name
First flight (Manufacture) date* - format YYYY-MM-DD - not delivery or new ownership flight date
(if mm or dd is unknown replace with 00, for example 2012-06-00)
* Reflects total Age

ICON:
We can't just set or update an icon. Correct icon is set based on the ICAO Type code. When correct ICAO Type code has been provided, the icon will be correct.

OWNER / OPERATOR:
For privacy reasons please don't report individuals, trustees or leasing companies as airline/owner. "Private owner" is preferred for GA/non-airline aircraft.
Manufacture Date:
The manufactured date or first flight date is exactly that. If unknown, leave blank, do not estimate or copy REGISTERED date.
Correct data provided in the correct format makes it easier for the data to be added to database and reduce the processing time.
Aircraft without ADS-B that are not visible on FR24, may be omitted.
Editors may be volunteers - Timeframe is not guaranteed.
