                Thanks for the tip, good to know about the serial number differences; but how could they miscode all those frames as LJ45's? just a thought...

                        The FAA use the Type Certificate for their description of aircraft. Only the LJ45 carries a type cert with the 40, 70 and 75 all being variants of of the 45 under certification. So every LJ40 becomes an LJ45 in the eyes of the FAA registration department. Its the same with the Socata TBM8 and TBM9 they are variants of the TBM7 so all become TBM-700 in the eyes of the FAA

                            This explains a lot of my mistakes while posting info here, after checking their site seeking accurate data; well, it's not gonna happen again, at least regarding the ICAO types they use. Thanks for the advice, apgphoto.
