This plane received an ADS-B Transponder more than a year ago in Brazil, but it is flying as if it were a C172. Check the flight history.

The responsibility for verifying the aircraft's transponder falls on the owner or the maintenance workshop itself, since this aircraft's transponder has been using this incorrect HEX code for quite some time. The failure to perform these checks is the fault of the owner or the maintenance workshop.

This is an ICAO standard, American HEX only applies to aircraft with American registration numbers, and Brazilian HEX only applies to aircraft with Brazilian registration numbers.
