Please check hex code. This is consistently being used by OM-DYE and this aircraft is still active on the Slovakian register. Thank you!

The code I entered for the Cessna FR172K is correct! An aircraft with the registration OM-DYE had a hex code incorrectly entered on this server in the past! The hex code assigned by the Transport Authority for the OM-DYE aircraft is 505CB9.

Thank you, that is quite helpful! Appreciate the follow up. I will correct the database, however I think we both recognize the flight history for OM-LRY will unfortunately be cluttered with OM-DYE flights given it has miscoded its transponders.

Today I contacted the Transport Authority, where I just checked the correctness of the assigned code. They confirmed to me that the assigned codes are different, as I mentioned above, and they should also contact the operator of the OM-DYE aircraft to verify what code he entered into his transponder and correct any discrepancy.
