What's wrong with it? Hex belongs to Russia, he is free. Everything else is under the jurisdiction of RosAviation. Even with a hex calculator they can use it.

I don’t understand what the problem is at all: do you need the aircraft data to be displayed on the map, or are you for the “correctness” of the hex only on principle?

Collectively, the volunteer database editors are experienced enough to know which miscodes could be added to the database without risking a conflict with something else, but the chiefs have said they do not want miscodes adding and have been making changes to the back-end editor to enforce it. As editors, we are stuck in the middle of the conflict, with the site users telling us they want them adding and the chiefs telling us they do NOT want them adding. Ultimately it's the chiefs' train set and what they say goes. You can air your grievances to support@fr24.com where they are paid to deal with complaints about how the site is run.
