I have no doubt that you are doing a great job and we appreciate it. Sadly the organisation has consistently refused offers from many of the people who posted here, most have now moved one and they are our loss. I regularly come across posts more than two years old, that's hardly acceptable and it raises the question, when do we re-post, 2 months , 3 months, 6 months or never?
Not sure why you would need to cross check information posted here, I know any time I make a small error, there is some one there to point it our. I'd suggest that there is a high degree of accuracy as far as this data is concerned. You have a group of people who spent a great deal of their own time adding data (and doing if for free) and you don't seem to have the courtesy to ensure its added in a timely manner. If data can't be added within 48 hours, then the system isn't working properly..

Nomad - the 'clued up' regulars who used to voluntarily 'screen' the submissions for accuracy/errors gave up a long time ago, mainly for the reasons which you cite, and have moved on to new pastures.
