I, for one, welcome the reporting of the miscodes for my own database. Although it would be handy if they were marked as such when posted...

I do agree that the editors should put in more effort before adding them to the database. Surely a simple check to see if the hex and reg (separate checks) appear in the database already would not take more than 15 seconds and prevent a lot of problems with duplicates. I do realise that with the sheer volume of data to process every day it would be too time-consuming to verify the accuracy of each submission, but basic checks to ensure the hex code for the registration belongs to the correct country should be part of the job by default (imo).

The mantma page with Hex/Country that took manual check is now offline.
But my PHP DIY search with submission (which takes.. seconds) based on it still works - Albeit not as accurate for some British Reigns.
Easy and faster to have a tab open to copy/paste

No excuse for submitters not to check first too.

Very old now but covers the majority. Some of the 'sub' block within the country ranges aren't listed, like Bermuda, Caymans, Guernsey, Isle of Man, which all have unique blocks within the UK range but as I say, it covers the majority.
