Also, a bit of a newbie error with the serials, I was unaware you use the production number instead of the serial number (S/N), and call it MSN.

Usually should be used the msn, but for IL76 is used the production number, I don't know the reason.

I'm sorry, but this isn't the first flight ever date but is the delivery date. FR24 uses the first flight ever date; when is not known, the year; sometimes the first delivery date is very different than the first flight date for many reasons. However is better only the year than a wrong date.

Not only Il76. Most Russian aircraft have double factory numbering. Last year I asked which one to indicate and I was told what exactly MSN
