This is my first post to update the aircraft database. Let me know if it is correct/incorrect. John

                  A276E7 looks like a miscode.

69-16056 is the serial of an old AH-6C, de-regd in 2000.

Don't know the ICAO type code? Look it up here.

                  • I've attached a screenshot of what I was looking at on FR24. As I said, I'm new at this and have seen these balloons over the midwest of the USA for several months.

                    • It's a re issue. Therefore using old details is incorrect

                      It shoud read:

                      A276E7

                      HBAL0308

                      BALL

                      Balloon

                      Google loon/project loon

These Loon Balloons are often [usually?] miscoded. They don't seem to have 'proper' regs either, so not really surprising.

N codes are automatic from the hex using known Method if unknown. They use odd hex and it finds the automatic records until they have their own corrected record

                          • 40612 and Oblivian, thanks for the response. One additional observation. In the USA FAA database, RAVEN AEROSTAR, is the registered name of the N-number. On the website for Raven Aerostar, they are indeed providing balloons in support of Project Loon.

Thanks for helping me post an update.
