This is reflected in the FAA Type Certificates for the types.
          The change affects as follows (type/line number): 737/6082 - 747/1534 - 767/1102 - 777/1422
Read more on FAA pages and here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...customer_codes
We have been through this before. With the exception of the 737 Max and the 787, Boeing is still using the "customer number" internally (proper name for them is firing order configuration). The line numbers quoted above are completely fabricated and no such change happened. That info came from a blog site which is known to be unreliable.

It is true that Boeing only shows the generic type on the airframe data plate and also official country registers (this has actually been the case for some years now) but many sites have chosen to continue listing them for accuracy and continuity as Boeing also continues to use them on their own internal documentation. Flightradar24 is one such website, also planespotters.net and some other sites, as well as my own blog.

Miscoded on one box, using the hex of the C172.

              Correct code A9D38D.
Don't know the ICAO type code? Look it up here.

Good to know. I was going to go shopping for a 172 capable of FL390 and 400+kts
