Data errors in Flightradar24 aircraft database

Hex looks a bit iffy [possibly a miscode?], and RA-73051 was previously reported as 151D5B, which seems more likely. [Your post #9799]

151D5B - calculated hexcode. For Russian Registration ModeS=f(Registration)
1E0000 - observed hexcode (I can not say what it is connected with)
P.S. The first SSJ100 also had an unusual hexcode

Each registration number of the Russian registration RA-XXXXXX corresponds to a strictly defined hexcode. In this case, this compliance is determined by the rules of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency. I see no reason why the calculated hexcode can not be used here, if they are strictly defined. At the moment there were only 2 precedents, when there was a discrepancy: the first Superjet 100 and the first MS-21-300

I know that quite a few aircraft have been reallocated with different hex codes in recent times.

I don't suppose that there's an online lookup database, now? I've not found one in the past.

These rules have existed for a long time and have not changed

I have a decode for them if you want a copy, 40612? Post your email address here or contact me with it through the web form on my blog. You're right about the randomness with them. There are miscodes aplenty and adding them to the database based on their allocated (not actual) hex code is only going to end in tears. The first post in this thread and the 'new codes' thread should stipulate that only which have been physically seen pinging and have a confirmed tie-up should be posted. Roughly 50% of the codes posted in the other thread are nothing more than guesses.
