Because of increasing problems with re-used hex-codes and registrations from now and on all aircraft in Flightradar24 database will be registered with the registration matching the hex-code from the country of registration.
    List is available on http://www.mantma.co.uk/icao_country_codes.html
This means that an aircraft with hex-code between A00000 and AFFFFF can only have a US N-registration and not Brazil PR-registration or German D-registration or Chinese B-registration.
This change will hopefully make aircraft owners more aware of that they are using an incorrect hex-code and also decrease of numbers of errors when hex-code is re-used in country if orgin.
So to make it clear we dont bother reporting miscoded transponder tie ups anymore?

As to that last sentence, no chance

Agreed. There are thousands of miscodes - probably even tens of thousands of them if you include mil - and that list is only going to grow. Ignoring the issue and hoping it goes away is not the solution and will simply alienate your user base, particularly from those parts of the world where the miscodes are common, ie. South America. Why would they continue to use a site when the Brazil registered BE20 flying over their house is showing as an American registered C172?

I understand the technical difficulties with this in terms of database indexing in that you can't easily query a hex code if it has more than one identity attached to it, but why not instead choose the primary user/registration of the hex code and add an 'additional notes' box on the form for the editor to add 'hex code also used by BE20 PP-XYZ'? Sure, it's far from a perfect solution but it's better than ignoring the issue and causing mass confusion to the users - the majority not being clued up on the issue and will discard the site as being a waste of time because it shows the wrong data in their eyes.

Not sure if serious or joking...

Why would the owner of a Brazilian BE20 care that his plane shows as an American C172 on a hobby plane tracking site? Realistically he won't even know what ADS-B even is. The same applies to 99.9999% of tin and microlight owners.

This is a test registration for Helicopteres Guimbal so you can add ICAO G2CA and type Guimbal Cabri it is no longer allocated to Dassault

According to the FAA this is a Falcon 7X.

FAA is wrong. It's an 8X and the msn gives it away too. Also, 100s of pics of it online should further proof be required.
