    Probably different types.

Need to decode the start to find the message format. Some are replies to ground interrogation, some are Mode-S only, some then send ES (more data)

Sinds de oprichting van het KNMI in 1854 wordt in de bibliotheek literatuur verzameld op het gebied van: meteorologie, klimatologie, (fysische) oceanografie en geofysica -met name seismologie.

    Message type
    Downlink Format
    Content
    ADS-B (56 bits)
DF0 Short air to air ACAS (BDS 0.E)
    DF4 Surveillance altitude
    DF5 Surveillance identity
DF11 Mode-S only all call reply
    ADS-B ES (112 bits)
    DF17 Airborne position (BDS 0.5)
    Surface position (BDS 0.6)
    Extended squitter status (BDS 0.7)
Aircraft type and ID (BDS 0.8)
    Airborne velocity (BDS 0.9)

Why are there 2 different Lenght of messages?
I can now understand the longer messages, but the shorter does not make any sense for me.
Which data are send within the shorter message?

Page 6. You can break it up and enter into windows calculator in decimal mode and change it to binary.

It's how we can decode us hex into expected registration
