  • AUA1471 OE-LAT at 43000ft?

    Hi,

This seems unusually high for an airliner. Possible ferry flight with no PAX?

At present over the North Sea on radar T-EGHP1.

The service ceiling for a 767-300 is 43.100 feet.

Hi, Thanks for the info, but it's very very unusual to see any airliner up above 39,000ft. I was just hypothesising why it might be up there.

Probably to get above other traffic. Most aircraft types have 41.000 ft as max. That means that you get the route you want at FL430.
