It could be a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle). Such as the Schiebel, General Atomics, Northrop Grumman or other UAVs.

I figured it was a drone. It was there ALL day!

So the UAV was simply given the command to monitor this territory. The UAV seems to have a lot of battery capacity, because as you say, WhisperM0de, he was flying all day. It could be aerial photography, security and surveillance, science, or drone racing.

Seeing how this is the Black Sea, and the Soviets are currently blockading/streaming the grain, I bet it's monitoring them.
